The first crest was featuring the facade of the Crystal Palace. This crest disappeared from the shirt in 1964. The nickname “the Eagles” inspired by the Portugese club Benfica influenced the later crests. Since mid-2010 the club has made use of an American bald eagle, called Kayla, as the club mascot.
