Club History: Everton FC are giants of English football with a record of 116 seasons (2019) in the first division and nine league titles. They also have won five FA Cups and one Uefa Cup Winners Cup. Founded by the parishioners of a Methodist church in 1878, the club’s historic rivals are Liverpool FC, themselves derived from a split within “The Blues”. The two sides contest the Merseyside derby. The club has been based at Goodison Park in Walton since 1892, after moving from Anfield following a disagreement over its rent.. Everton built their success and popularity on a “scientific” style of play, rather than the traditional “long ball” style of British football.
Crest: In the crest of Everton FC the Everton Lock-Up is integrated. The Lock-Up has been inextricably linked with the Everton area since the construction in 1787. It was originally used as a bridewell to incarcerate mainly drunks and minor criminals, and still stand today on Everton Brow.
