Stayen is located in Sint-Truiden, Belgium. It opened in 1927 and is the home ground of STVV. It was renovated in 2011 and has a capacity of 14,600. The name “Stayen” is a local dialect word for “Staden”, an old quarter of the town on its western side. Between the 1950s and 2009 the word was normally written as “Staaien”. One regularly applied soubriquet is “Hel van Stayen” (“Hell of Stayen”), used on behalf of top teams that suffer defeats in the stadium.
