Riverside Stadium

The Riverside Stadium is located in Middlesbrough, England and has been the home of Middlesbrough FC since it opened in 1995. It has a capacity of 34,742. although there is provisional planning permission in place to expand that to 42,000 if required. The stadium was built to replace Ayresome Park after the Taylor Report, which required all top division football stadiums to be all-seater. The stadium is fully enclosed with every seat offering an uninterrupted view of the pitch.

Public Transport: Middlesbrough Railway Station. The train station is a 10 to 15 minutes walk from the Riverside Stadium.

Ayresome Park was the home of Middlesbrough FC from its construction in 1903, until the Riverside Stadium opened in 1995. It was demolished in 1997 and replaced with housing.
