Stade du Pays de Charleroi

Stade du Pays de Charleroi is located in Charleroi, Belgium. It was originally built in 1939 and re-built for the 2000 in Belgium and the Netherlands in replacement of the old stadium known as Mambourg. It is the home of Sporting Charleroi and has a capacity of 14,000. The stadium is still nicknamed Mambourg after the coal mine near the stadium. The stadium has had many problems with nuisance to local residents, which meant that a lot had to be adapted to the stadium. It turned out that a building permit was never applied for for the second ring of the stands 2, 3 and 4. As a result, these rings were demolished and a new roof was placed on the stadium.
